The annual spring art show was held last week at The College Academy. This year’s theme was “The Road Not Taken”, inspired by the famous poem by Robert Frost. According to TCA art teacher Ms. McDonough, “students were asked to create their own interpretations of what The Road Not Taken means to them. We kind of dissected the poem and learned slowly that the poem is more than just taking a path that’s different from others. It has a lot more depth to it than that.” Student art work explored these themes of individual expression encouraging artists to “draw or paint an image that resonated with them with something that they overcame in life, but kept pushing forward and trying despite the struggle.” AP Art students also displayed their portfolios of 15 pieces that they worked on throughout the year, each expressing a theme of their own design.
