What’s the mood in school right now? We walked the hallways and we heard many interesting things that intrigued us. We listened to different people talking and investigated who the right people were, with the most interesting things to say.

We first spoke with 11th grader Oscar Narvaez. We asked Oscar what he did this past weekend. He said he went to a friend’s baby shower. Then, on Sunday, he went to a friend’s house to celebrate because he won a game. He said that school should have remote classes since we need time for ourselves and more days to rest from so many classes every day. He had a personal problem and had a very hard time and was very stressed because he had to study, which stressed him out even more.
10th grader Shannel Nunez told us that this past weekend she went to New Jersey with her mom’s family to spend some quality time together. She said that school should be remote because we need more rest, not just studying every day, as we need to refresh our minds. She said she had a problem last week, but it was with her girlfriend, and by talking it all out, they were able to resolve it in the best way.

Finally 12th grader Francely Garcia said she didn’t do anything important over the weekend other than spend time at home with her niece and relax. She said she agrees with the hybrid model of one month of remote learning and one month of in-person classes because that way we’d have more time for ourselves. She told us that everything is fine at school and she hasn’t had any problems with anyone.
