When think of art you probably imagine paints and other physical media. But you should also consider digital art. Many artists prefer digital art because when you do digital art organizing your artwork is much more efficient. And being able to create full color artwork from start to finish is easier. Digital Art is cleaner and you can control the resolution more effectively. Digital art is cheaper because in the long run its better than buying tons of art supplies. Plus its more portable than lugging around all those art supplies and you’re not as likely to lose your artwork.
For instance, the digital art platform Procreate automatically saves your work and icloud services can be set as a backup as well. Its a lot easier to show someone because all you would have to do is send it to them. The files are smaller and more manageable and it can be done from your iPad Pro or phone. TCA art student Maya prefers digital art. “Its way easier like making layers of colors. It’s so much easier with the color wheel, color theory is super easy [when using digital art].” So in the end digital art is more efficient and easier to use.
