Guidance for Emerging Artists

Guidance+for+Emerging+Artists

The room is quiet except for some soft music playing in the background.  Before you is a completely blank canvas.  You pickup the paint brush and freeze.  How will you go from empty space to a timeless work of art?

Now, allow me to introduce you to someone very special who has a lot of experience with art and has a career in art. Her name is Ms. Berean is an art teacher at The College Academy she has been teaching art to students for over 7 years. When it comes to anything art related she is the one you would go to for advice or an opinion or a suggestion. “I really appreciate Japanese artwork it’s definitely been very helpful in my classroom because once I find out that a student likes anime I really try to match the projects that were doing with their love of anime and it gets them inspired and motivated I love that it has narrative and a story line and a comic book style it’s very illustrative and graphic and the line work and the shading development is very process so I’m a fan of it and I especially love that inspires my students” said Ms.Berean.

Allow me to present another artist with some fantastic art skills. His name is Axel Diaz. He is a senior at The College Academy and he has been doing art for at least 6 years. He loves drawing Anime art or anything that comes to his head or something he see’s online. His artwork is outstanding, I’m very impressed with his style when it comes to creating art. “Art is a good way to express yourself because you don’t really have any limits to what you can draw. You can either copy something from online or you can draw something in your head. People are going to judge you for your art but like if you are able to look at your art for yourself you are gonna love it and most of the people when they draw they don’t really care what other people think they only care what they think” said Axel Diaz.

After speaking with these artists I have a better understanding of the creative process. The first step in creating art is to be prepared with the materials and to have a well relaxed mind while listening to music of your choice. The next step is to sketch out how you want the artwork to look like. Step three is to be creative, use different methods for creating your artwork to make it stand out from other artwork. Finally, you must add color to your artwork, this part is very important to make the coloring really stand out in your artwork. Try using bright colors and dark colors for certain things to give something for your audience to look at. This will make your artwork look so stunning to your audience, be unique and be open minded to trying new things because the end result will shock you in the best way possible.
