Hello, my name is Dashley García López. I was born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and currently live in Manhattan, New York. I’m a senior at TCA High School, and I’m very excited about everything I’m learning and the opportunities I have as a student.

My goal as a journalism student is to improve my written and oral expression and always give my best in every class, project, and presentation. I enjoy communicating, sharing ideas, and learning about the world through information and writing, and I believe journalism will help me develop these skills.

One of my goals for the future is to graduate and continue my undergraduate studies in criminology, a career I’m passionate about and want to pursue so I can work in something that truly motivates me and where I can make a difference. I’d also love to travel the world, experience new cultures, learn from different people, and take those experiences with me for a lifetime.
