“Aladdin” Production Underway at GWEC

The George Washington Educational Campus will be presenting a bilingual production of the popular Disney musical, Aladdin. There will be 4 shows presented to the community on June 1-3. All four schools have sponsored this campus-wide production. The College Academy music and social studies teacher Mr. Martinez is the show’s director. Ms Melo and Ms Ross assisted him working as choreographers. Set design by AP Mr. Boardwell from Health & Careers high school. Ms. Monzon is the assistant Director and Costume designer. Students and teachers from all floors will work together to produce this play.

The production is in need of more student members! Supporting parts such as, guards, princes, backup dancers and backstage assistants (lights, sound, curtains, etc.), ushers are still needed to complete our ensemble. Practices are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 3:30-6:00 where participants practice blocking, dancing, and lines. Any student from the campus is encouraged to join and will be supported. If you’re interested please don’t hesitate to speak with Mr. Martinez in room 201.
