Before the 2024 presidential election, The College Academy conducted a mock election to give all students the opportunity to vote for who they thought would win the election. In total, 198 students responded. 55.1% were male and 41.9% female with 58.1% voting Democrat and 41.8% voting Republican. Surprisingly, 10th and 11th graders voted the most, with 31.8% for 10th grade and 34.8% for 11th grade. (This might show that 9th and 12th graders did not show a full interest in the election.) From all of this, it can be seen that those who did vote were most concerned about the issues of the economy, crime, and health care. Religion also had a big influence on this decision, as there were 188 responses from these students, who were Christian and Catholic, exceeding more than 75%. The presidential ticket proved to be as divided locally as it was nationally, with 58.1% of students voting for the Harris/Walz ticket and 41.9% of students voting for Trump/Vance.
