I recently interviewed several students from different places, who are currently students at TCA. I wanted to hear their own opinions and experiences when studying in the United States and the country they come from. To understand, I interviewed student Jaylah Montgomery Smith (Grade 12), who spent all her years earning an education in the United States and is from St. Croix. This led me to interview her because I wanted to understand her experience in the United States.
Where did you study?
“ I studied in the United States of America New York to be precise.”
How many years have you been studying in the United States?
“ All of my life so eighteen years.”
How was the curriculum when it came to learning subjects?
“ So the curriculum for regular classes is cool and calm, honestly out here in America the entire school system is unpleasant. We don’t learn we’re just trained to remember things for a test at the end of the year.”
How do you feel studying here at The College Academy?
“ Is amazing here we have so many AP classes to offer, so many electives you can take, and the teachers are all great. They don’t disrupt the class everyone gets to learn and is amazing.”
