We all need something that will make us want to look forward to interacting with our peers and teachers at school right? If you answered yes to all those questions then the TCA gaming club is the best result for our students.
The TCA gaming club was created for students to have fun, socialize and release stress from school. The TCA gaming club is a symbol, as the act of playing video games in the classroom. Symbols are given power by people. Alone, a symbol is meaningless but with enough people certain things can have huge impacts on people for the rest of their lives.
Now, allow me to introduce you to the man who has been running the gaming club for 6 years. His name is Mr. Merced also known as worstness, since he mains Ness in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The game that brings everyone together. Mr. Merced is not only responsible for the gaming club but he is also responsible for making sure his kids do great in his English class. Mr. Merced has been teaching English for 17 years. When it comes to getting better at your English or your skills in Smash Ultimate he’s your go to man all the way forever and always. “Honestly, it’s just seeing all of you just having fun and smiling and laughing that’s what really does it for me because when I think about growing up and how I felt sort of alienated in my interest. I felt like there weren’t people who I could just meet up with and share a common interest with. And when I see all of you guys from different backgrounds and different personalities and you all come together and just like enjoy this game and have so much fun together it really makes me feel hopeful it makes me feel happy for all of you and it really cheers me up.” said Mr. Merced.
Allow me to introduce one of the greatest smash ultimate fighters in TCA history. His name is Victor Pena also known as Vic and the dayseeker when he is present in the gaming room. He is a junior at the College Academy and he has been part of the gaming club since he was a freshman. He is considered the second best smash ultimate player in TCA as of 2023. “That you can show your skills in the gaming club of super smash bros and compete against others, said Victor Pena”.
Finally, let me introduce you to one more awesome smash ultimate fighter that we have here in TCA. This fighter is also considered one of the greatest smash ultimate fighters in TCA history. His name is Freddy Velez also known as FredXMario, since he mains Mario in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. He is a senior at the College Academy and he has been part of the gaming club since he was a sophomore. “Destroying kids and including playing with them and having fun, said Freddy Velez”.
Once I got done talking to the members of the TCA gaming club I was able to collect a lot of valuable information on what their experience has been like being a member of this organization. The whole purpose of this club was to take people who consider themselves outsiders and give them a place for them to express themselves with people from all different kinds of backgrounds. Another thing I discovered was that every member of the gaming club was not always as skilled. Every member of the gaming club had to practice, learn, and improve their skills in order for them to become one of the greatest fighters in TCA history. So if you are new to the gaming club and lose many times against the other players just remember if you practice, learn, and improve you will get to the other players level and be able to destroy them gruesomely.
